Gamma Gamma Chapter

Georgia Southern University

The Dr. Eldo L. Hendricks Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Programming was established to recognize Chapters that have provided an exceptional educational, cultural, or leadership program that benefits their Members and the community in which they live. The 2022 recipient is the Gamma Gamma Chapter at Georgia Southern University. The Chapter collaborated with the Black Student Nursing Association on campus to raise awareness about domestic violence and how it affects the community through a four-day event called “Purple Pack Out Week.” Each event within the four-day period contributed to this goal in a positive and engaging manner with community outreach to get the entire student body involved.

Alpha Theta Chapter at Rutgers University '20

Andrea is one of the 2022 Todd Undergraduate Scholarship recipients. Andrea is a senior Business Analytics and IT and Marketing double major. She has received many accolades and accomplished so much during her undergraduate career, including earning the de Chavez Scholarship, working as a writer for Routure Magazine, serving as a mentor to others in her business school, becoming a member of the Professional Development Committee for Women in Business, receiving the Women in Business Scholarship, and being invited to join Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society of AACSB Accredited Business Programs. This summer, she has an internship doing Market Segmentation with New York Life Investments. Her long-term goal to give back is to create a scholarship for first-generation BIPOC college students, but first, she wants to create a free community program similar to Girls Who Code for her hometown, Jersey City.

Constance Sayrie

The University of Texas Permian Basin Associate Chapter '22

Constance is one of the 2022 Wood Graduate Scholarship Recipients. Constance received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas Permian Basin and has been accepted into the doctoral program Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration at UTPB. She also volunteers for the Houston Alumni Youth Center. Constance's achievements are even more impressive considering she put her education on hold until she was in her sixties, raised her family, and survived cancer. Constance's main long-term goal is to start a non-profit organization to assist poverty-stricken families with living conditions associated with mental health to become productive in society.
